Red, gold, green and black

Nearly at Panama, Manzanillo village on Costa Rica’s Caribbean Coast has a Caribbean vibe. Not just the buildings, trees, clothing, and souvenirs in red,  gold, green and black, but the music you can hear all over town.

Maxi’s bar pumps out a range of reggae, from lover’s rock, roots, calypso and more. If you wanna dance you will not dance alone.

The locals are as warm as the weather, and speak patois, Spanish and native indian eg beriberi.

The warm sea waves are perfect for floating on. There are jungle tours (I highly recommend Tino), pushbikes for hire and snorkelling.

One of my favourite places on this trip for the people I met and vibe.
