Howler monkeys and fine dining
I can’t describe the noise these guys make. It’s loud and echoey and bold. For a small creature it’s a helluva racket. What a buzz though, sitting on the deck overlooking the lake, hearing them, then seeing them swinging and dexterously climbing through the topmost branches.
Three of us went to a nica place for dinner last night. Thanks to Teresa’s fabulous language skills, they carried the table down two flights of uneven stairs so we could dine lakeside. Then gave perfect service – though we didn’t need the bows – for our food and drinks $8 in total. We were the only people there, anywhere else in the world would have said downstairs is closed.
